I recently installed PrimoPDF on our family PC which uses Windows XP Home Edition. I can convert my word documents into PDF files smoothly.

However, when my wife, who also logs in as an administrator to her account, tries to convert her word files into PDF in her account, the PrimoDPF option window doesn't pop up in her account, but pops up in my account instead!! If I switch to my account, I can see the PrimoPDF option window from her conversion job. :(

On our home PC, we both have adminsitrator privilage for our accounts.

How can I fix this problem So that my wife can finish her conversion job without leaving her account?

Thank you. :D

I also use Primo PDF on our Family PC which uses Windows XP Home Edition. We have three users who log into administrator accounts. Under properties, I have unchecked the run as user box. This allows the Primo PDF option window to pop up into whichever account uses the PDF printer first. Unfortunately it still continues to do so after the computer is switched to another user.

The only fix I have found when a second admin user wants to use the PDF printer is to restart the computer and then the PDF printer option window will come up in the account that needs to use it. This is a pretty inconvenient way of handling the situation but better than switching back and forth between accounts to find the window playing musical chairs. If there is a better way to handle this, I would appreciate it if someone would let me know.

You are having access rights problems. This post should help.

Share the printer then under configure port just uncheck run as user. Should fix the problem. You can keep run hidden.
