****o,

I work for a Software services company where we release user documents along with the software, to our customers. Currently, all our user documentation is in Microsoft Word and we're planning move them from doc to PDF in future.

Can a corporate use PrimoPDF to convert a document from word to PDF for free, and then sell that PDF document? Are there any licensing issues involved with this?

Thanks,
Sanjeev

The AFPL covers the *use* of the software, not the resultant output. So the answer to your question is, yes, a corporation can use PrimoPDF to convert for free (as long as the software was never sold in the first place), and can then charge for the distribution of the resultant PDF.

It's akin to downloading PrimoPDF to create your e-book and then charging for the e-book itself.
