Resolution

Hi, Very new to using primo also limited computer knowledge, but does anyone know if I can improve the picture resolution-I produce a magazine on Publisher, but the commercial printer I then need to send to using primo is finding many of my scanned artices are not re-producing very well. Is there a way to improve? Cheers di
