Hi
I installed PrimoPDF to a windows 2003 server. Installation works and printer shows in the list of printers.
But when I try to send documents to the printer, error "document failed to print".
We connect to the server via vpn and remote desktop connection - if this makes any difference.
Any help would be WELCOME!
Thanks

The only problem I can see with this is if you are remoting to the machine in "application mode" This will change the system paths to a subuser system path (a system dir inside of a user profile) instead of the actual system directory. There won't be any workaround for this beyond changing the remote method.

I have installed PrimoPDF on 2003 Server and am having some problems getting it to work.
I can select the printer from the list, but after I click Print I get an error message stating that the document failed to print. No other PrimoPDF boxes come up. I have checked and I am able to run the PromoPDF.exe application

First of all - fantastic program!
But - I too have installed it on Win 2003 server and am unable get any output from the primo driver, both as administrator and as user. As soon as I use a 'print' command, a dialog box pops up saying that there is an error printing to the primo printer.
Is there any programmatic interface to the printer driver? I've seen several questions on the subject but no answers.

I installed PrimoPDF on a fairly clean/new Server 2003 box which I use for product development & testing and it doesn't work, either through a remote session or logging in as an administrator from the main console. I don't think it's been tested on Server 2003 to be honest, or if it has, any instructions on how to get it to work seems to be some kind of secret...

Had same issue on several W2k3 machines. Though I haven't seen it listed as a requirement anywhere, I got PrimoPDF working locally by making sure Acrobat Reader was installed.
Still haven't gotten it working via RDP, can see that trying to print from the remote machine brings up the PrimoPDF.exe UI on the server console, not the remote display.

See previous post on requirement for Acrobat Reader installation to get PrimoPDF working locally.
To use via RDP you must connect to the console session, not a virtual session. If you're connecting from another W2k3 server you can do that from 'Remote Desktops' in the Administrative Tools
If you need to connect from a Windows XP machine, save and *.rdp file for the connection, then open it in Notepad, add a line that says "connect to console:i:1" and save the file. Lauch remote desktop via that .rdp file and you'll connect to the server console.
You can also use the registry hack in MS KB302361 to make local non-LPT/USB printers available on a remote machine, which will allow you to use the copy of PrimoPDF installed on your local machine to print things from the remote machine to your local hard drive.
