Try downloading the latest version of PrimoPDF.
www.primopdf.com

By default, it should install into C:\Program Files\Nitro PDF\PrimoPDF

The activePDF directory was the previous version.

I am having the same problems as robertkar. Did you ever get the program working again? I've tried everything and it still does nothing (or crashes with the latest version).

I was having the same problem. I uninstalled from the NitroPdf folder in Program Files and then installed the V5 Beta. It works perfectly now.;)

I too was having problems with the new version of Primo PDF not working. I have Windows XP SP3 and was running version 2.0 of Primo PDF. I decided to try the newest version and that's where things went wrong. I was no longer able to create PDFs after installing version 4. The PDF creator wouldn't even launch. I noticed some error messages too when launching the user manual and the PrimoPDF settings from the Windows All Programs group. It was complaining of the inability to launch do to missing .net files. I remembered another time when I upgraded Primo to version 3.1 on a different PC that it installed .net framework as part of the process. I didn't recall seeing that on the newest version. So to make a long story short: First I uninstalled the new version 4 that tanked. Then I installed version 3.1 on my troubled machine which can be found at this link:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_primopdf/3485/

This brought the .net framework with it. I then upgraded to the newest Primo, version 4. Everything started working. I then upgrade to beta 5 which also worked. I hope this helps those who are having issues with the new version not working.

I have used PrimoPDF for years and haven't had any trouble until this week. Now when I try it I get a windows error message about the spooler not replying. I have to restart the spooler of I can't print anything.

I am trying to generate a PDF from Office publisher. Sometimes it won't run at all and I get the spooler error message of it will run but not create all the pages. Any suggestions>

I have downloaded the latest vesrion 5 several times. It has not helped. Would it wise to download an older version that worked? Where would i get it?

Thanx much.

You can try and see if the older version works. Download it here.

Thank you for pointing me to an older version (4) of PrimoPDF. I tried installing it on my Windows Vista machine and still have the same problem where the spooler stops working and I don't get the PDF doc. :(

I was able to get an even older version (3.2) working on a different computer with Windows XP. :)

I hope to able to use the newst version some day. I will probably try again after I upgrade to Windows 7.
