I have PrimoPDF set to email.
The PDF file is made and PrimoPDF
disappears -- the Thunderbird
compose window does not open.

I've tested this on my end and it seems to be working fine.

Try clicking on this test email above to see if the compose window opens.

test@testmail.com

Let me know how that goes.

Thank you for your response, Binh Pham

You test did not work.

But I found the solution.

I did not have Outlook Express installed on my computer
When I installed it -- Primo worked the way it was supposed
to.

Nowhere in any of the Promo literature that I read does it say
that Outlook Express has to be installed.

This has happened on three of my computers -- and
each time I installed Outlook Express on each computer
Primo did what it was supposed to do.

Seems to me that info should be in your system somewhere.

I am back to this again. - I thought things were ok, but not so.

1. When Outlook is installed on my computer, the link you sent, works

2. When Outlook is uninstalled the link you sent does not work.

3. My problem is still the same -- With Outlook installed and I have
PrimoPDF set to email -- it opens up the Outlook compose window.

4. Thunderbird tells me it is the default email program.

What Now??

I've tried to replicate what you described without any success. With or without Outlook Express installed, Thunderbird was working.

Try go to Start > Set Program Access and Defaults, click on the drop down arrow for Custom. Under the 'Choose a default e-mail program:' select Mozilla Thunderbird then click OK.

See if that works.

Thanks for your help, Binh Pham

I have solved the problem.

For some reason I had two Thunderbird set ups, one for IMAP and one
for POP3. The process was defaulting to the IMAP profile but my
Thunderbird account is POP3.

I deleted both and reinstalled POP3. That solved the problem for
two of my computers.

I am a happy camper now -- and PrimoPDF is supreme.

Thank you, Vince Gale

X1? I'm not sure what you meant by this but for your information, we plan to release PrimoPDF version 5 late August.
