I installed PrimoPDF back in 2005 and it has worked fine since then, and it is shown in my Add/Remove section of my Control Panel. However, due to recent issues with MS, IE and AOL, I no longer saw it in ALL PROGRAMS so I assumed I could not use it.

So I reinstalled and ran the available version from PrimoPDF website (tried 2 times). The new one does not show up in my ALL PROGRAMS, as well.

To see if it was working I created a couple of pdf's but after printing the icon for those pdf's do not show up on my desktop as they used to. I also cannot locate them after doing a search either.

To activate my Forum access just now I noticed that as an AOL browser/ISP user I had to click on a different URL to do this. I will, therefore, assume my recent problems with AOL and reinstallations of it that THIS may have caused the problem with PrimoPDF.

What did I miss and what can I do? :(

The latest version of PrimoPDF is not listed under All Programs menu. It will be in the next version though.

Open your document in its default program and go to File > Print then select PrimoPDF as your printer. This will bring up the PrimoPDF dialog where you can create a PDF document.

I WASN'T WORRIED AS MUCH CONFUSED, AND FELT THAT AS LONG AS THE PROGRAM WORKED IT DIDN'T MATTER. JUST WONDERED. MANY THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.

If I recall, the older version automatically dropped a newly created pdf onto the desktop. I miss that. That's why I asked where my pdf's were. I'd like to suggest that besides placing the program in All Programs, that the newly created pdf's go automatically to the desktop (or to a location chosen by the user).

With the current version, you should be able to enter the directory where you want the file to go, simply by click on the '...' button.
