I have just downloaded primoPDF. When I try to create .pdf from a Word file, it says,
This software requires the .NET Framework 2.0 or higher. Please install the .NET Framework and run this software again.
This message is followed by an Application Error message: Exception EaccessViolation in module PDF.exe at 00021361. Access violation at address 00421361 in module PrimoPDF.exe. Read of address 00000000.
What shall I do?

Download .NET Framework from the Microsoft site. Google "download NET Framework" to get the links. You may wish to use the latest 3.5 rather than the older 2.0. Be aware that the small initial download is a bootstrapper for a rather large download.
It's not a bug. NET Framework is a developers' platform required by some programs.
I believe NET 3.5 is in Windows 7 RC since I installed another program requiring NET without having to downloading as part of the installation as happened earlier with XP. Vista may also have NET 2 or later.

Thanks fizzo for your post.
For your reference, Version 4 & 5 are written in VB .NET and has the .NET Framework as a dependency.

I have a brand-new computer, all dependent and nondependent software, etc, is up to date and Primo keeps crashing and I also get that same error message to about the framework, it also doesn't recognize my "system profile" either. I'm glad I tested this out before I purchased Nitro. I love PrimoPDF...but these bugs on a 64-bit system is too annoying to deal with when other products have a working version.

What version of .NET Framework do you have installed? When exactly does it crash and what OS are you using?
Please note that Nitro Pro is built on an entirely different platform to PrimoPDF. The same problem shouldn't occur with Nitro Professional.
