First-time use error message: Creation Failed -21

To forum participants:

I just installed Primo PDF for the first time, but encounter the following error message whenever I try to create a PDF file:

"PDF Creation Failed -21"

My computer uses Windows XP. I am merely trying to open an existing PDF file to fill out form fields and then save the completed document.

Can anyone offer advice for this type of error?

Some PDF forms are not protected and would allow the saving of field data into another PDF. However, PrimoPDF is not allowed to create of a PDF from a PDF that has been previously encrypted. Apparently, the PDF form you you filled out and printing has been protected, and PrimoPDF is upholding the protection.

-21 error indicates the the file is encrypted. You will need to decrypt the file prior to trying to convert it.
