On Tuesday morning, Network Associates' McAfee antivirus division became aware of the first virus -- known as "Peachy" -- that uses PDF to spread, said Vincent Gullotto, senior director of McAfee's Avert group.

Has anyone heard of this? :)

From what has been published about this new virus, the threat comes from the capabilty of an virus carrying executible being attached to a PDF file. Even if the PDF did have a virus infected attachment, it would likely only be a threat to those that opened the file using Acrobat and not the Reader.

Because of the limited capability of PrimoPDF which doesn't allow the attachment of files to a PDF (sometimes simple is better), there is no threat of spreading a virus using PrimoPDF generated PDFs. For more details regarding Peachy, please refer McAfee's reference on Peachy.
