Hi,

I have just downloaded the free edition, I have received a message stating the download was successful and the icon appears on my Desktop. When I click on the icon I get the following message:

Primo PDF. exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click ok to terminate the application.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the software several times but the same problem remains. Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Goldtop

I started out with PrimoPDF a year or more ago, starting while I was using Win2K. I'm now using XP, with up to date Service Packs. The programs install properly, but I get error messages. Here is one.

Exception ECException in PrimoPDF.exe at 000213BD
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Windows.Forms Version =2.0.0.0, Culture=Neutral, PublicKey token =b77a5c561934r089' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

In trying to correct this, I tried to rewind by doing a clean uninstall, and reinstalling an older version. With the newer versions, I just get a standard error message, "PrimoPDF has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

What's up with this? Old version, new version, beta version all give similar error messages.

Guys,

Can you please check to see if you have .NET Framework 2.0 higher installed by going to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs?

If you do not have that installed, you can download directly from the Microsoft website.

I have been installing and uninstalling ALL DAY! I had the Primo PDF program and it was working well. Then, today, it was gone. I tried downloading again and now have a box that says, "no application is associated with the specified file for this operation." What in the world is that? I have actually been on this project all day. Please help!

The PrimoPDF file you downloaded, what is the file extension for that? It should be *.exe

I have the same problem - if I try to use the "drop" link, I get a message "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)"

Installed the .net environment, but no luck.
Trying to print to Primopdf from ANY file (even a text I just created) does nothing. I get a message I don't see because it goes away too fast and nothing happens, looks like the process just dies.

Running XP sP3.
Please help!

apparently, first I had to install .net 2; then .net 3 then I tried to install net3.5, but install barfed, so I just decided to to trash it.
primopdf works just fine with .net 3.

Another problem - Acrobat reader shows pdf properties that do not allow editing - I didn't set up any properties - is this Adobe shtik?
Thanx.

Hi Everyone,

It's Goldtop again! Back in October this year I was having a problem installing PDF but Binh Pham came to the rescue and said I needed to install Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0 and gave me the following to download it, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en it worked perfectly after that.

I have just bought a new computer and am reinstalling all my programs but when I use the above data a get a message from Microsoft saying this page is unavailable. Where do I go from here? Help, please can anyone advise me as what to do now.
