I've been using PrimoPDF for several months. It serves two purposes for me.

First, from any application, I can create PDF documents that I can share with others knowing that they will almost certainly see the document as I created it. That capability comes without the expense and resource overhead demanded by Adobe Acrobat. I'm a long-time user of WordPerfect --the superior DOS and Windows wordprocessor -- which has for some time been capable of creating PDF documents. Unfortunately, I'm increasingly driven to MS-Word which, at least up to version 2003, does not have PDF publishing built into the application. Most of the other applications I use regularly also lack that capability.

Second, I can 'print without printing.' I work from a laptop that is unattached about 75 percent of the time. PrimoPDF allows me to create PDF 'printings' of web sites that I can later print onto paper or simply keep on my hard drive. Among many other uses, this allows me to 'print' and store receipts for online purchases.

I've had no problem that even hinted at being connected to PrimoPDF in about six months of regular use. I use the product with MS-Word, Excel, Firefox, and Internet Explorer on my Dell Latitude D420 running WindowsXP. I'm sufficiently addicted that I'd even be willing to pay a small amount for PrimoPDF, but please don't tell the developers ;-).

Thanks for a well-made and useful product.

The Engineering team appreciates your kind words. There is a lot to still do, but it is good to know that we are on the right track..., and it is still FREE.
