Nothing happens after print - ver 3.2 W/2003

I installed PrimoPDF Version 3.2 on a Windows/2003 server.
I can print (notepad) to the PrimoPDF printer, I see a file(s) queued, and eventually the spool file is gone. There is no PrimoPDF pop up menu and I have no idea where the PDF file is, if any .
I stopped and started the print Spooler service and installed the HP 4550 PS printer driver, as suggested by other posts.

There can be a couple of reasons:
1) There can be a permissions problem (the printer is listed, but can not access the executibles that handle the conversion). Suggest checking if:
c:\Program Files\activePDF\PrimoPDF has Everyone Full access

2) PrimoPDF printer is in the offline state. Turn it online (User Printer Online), by right clicking the PrimoPDF printer in the Printers and Faxes window.

I installed using admin account, and tested using admin account. In security "everyone" can print . The problem looks to be moving the print file from the spooler to the PDFport. I can see the print file queued.

rebooted again, no change "Test Print" is in the queue waiting for the port

try installing a pcl ver. of the driver and not the ps. I had the same issue with a ps ver. hp4350 and installed the pcl and works fine.

I installed the HP4550 PCL and PS drivers. Made the HP4550 PCL printer the default. (did not reboot). I still have a problem. NO PrimoPDF pop-up.
Is there anything special about the HP4550 driver? The HP4550 is not in my printer list (add printer), and I would rather not install unlisted drivers. My tech support group will not be thrilled with me installing drivers. HP4000 series and HP4050 series printers are listed.
