View Full Version : Font troubles in PDF via Quark

I recently got a new computer with Windows Vista and originally my version of Quark 4.0 didn't work, but then I got it to work by telling it to run like it's in Windows XP.

So, anyway, I downloaded PrimoPDF onto this new computer and then I printed to PrimoPDF (like I would do on my old computer) out of Quark. But this time, some of the fonts in the document (like when I BOLDED or ITALICS arial) defaulted to courier in the PDF. This did not happen when I did this (everything the same way as I've described) on my old computer. And then, when making another attempt, ALL the fonts (not just the BOLD or ITALICS ones) defaulted to courier.

Anybody know what is up? Please help!

Thanks!

When fonts change, it is usually because the font it needs is not in the system to be included in the PDF (or not where it can be found). Quick test, try setting PrimoPDF conversion to Prepress and retrying the conversion. If that doesn't work, try embedding the font in the document to be converted, then convert.
