****o,
I use PrimoPDF (free version) with Windows XP and it works very very well!! :D
But now I have a new PC with Windows Vista and I have a problem! I've installed the last version of PrimoPDF without problems and it works, but when I click on "Create PDF" button.... NOTHING HAPPENS!!! The program does not create any file!!!!
What have I to do? (apart hating Vista...)

The installation of PrimoPDF provides access to wherever it needs, but apparently something prevented that and it didn't work. Try the following:
1) Go to C:\Program Files\activePDF\PrimoPDF
2) Right click PrimoPDF, select Properties, select Security, and
3) Add Everyone and give them Full access (or Users Full).

I have the same problem, checked the security but all users already have full control. No error message is provided, just nothing happens when you click on "create pdf".

I also have the same issue where nothing happens when you print. I have tried running as an administrator and also in XP compatible mode, still no joy. Have successfully used PrimoPDF in XP but have had no luck in Vista :( I'm sure when printing from XP the original documents filename was transferred to the suggested pdf filename, but now all I get is "MyPimoPDF.pdf" suggested.

Hi all
Just installed PrimoPDF on Vista Home system, no problem. Tried first print: nothing! No error, no file. I repeated while opening PrimoPDF printer window and noticed when I click "Create PDF" it actually says "deleting" then the file disappears. Also have "My PrimoPDF" default file name.
Answers please anybody
Thanks

I just had the same problem in Vista, trying everything in security of maps etc.
Going to control panel, clicking printers, making PDFPRIMO default printer (not essential), going to properties, running as administrator, tells it printing testpage, and suddenly a testpage appears in pdf!
I cant reproduce, that means it keep working now, even when I uninstall and install again.
Hence don't desperate and keep trying :o
What is remarkable is that the default names and places in the Primo window are changed, without doing me that.
First it was something like MyPrimo.pdf in a program directory of PrimoPDF,
Now it is the original filename.pdf in c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\documents \filename.pdf in which filename the original filename is that is printed.

Well, I can also print a test page but still no joy with normal pdf printing.

Many of the Windows Vista users have found they have problems using PrimoPDF due to the new UAC (User Account Control) that comes with Vista. In order to resolve these issues you can simply disable the UAC.

Success!!! Just edit above two folders to allow full access by users (as opposed to just by administrator - both will have your name). Probably better not to fiddle with overall UAC.
Thanks! :D
