Hey all,

Im running a delphi app which in turn runs a quickreport report.
the report contains images and synopsis of movies..

nothing strange there - all fine.

but when i output to primo pdf, randomly, some of the images are
black..

doesnt happen every time i output - so i have to keep trying till
i get a good version - pain in da butt!

quickreport doesnt show any blacked out images ever so its just primo..

images are all jpgs - which i hear primo doesnt handle so well?
so is there anything similar to primo that i can try..

also - a tool one where could automate the pdf output would be perfect...
i understand you cant do that with primo?

Cheers for any ideas!

How often does this occur? Is there any color in the rest of the document when images are blacked out? I wonder if it is being set to print in black and white instead of color which would distort any images.

mmm its outputting all other images nice n pretty in colour..

it just chooses sometimes black one or 2 or 3 out in a 7 page doc...
more if the doc is bigger..

i have to close down delphi and usually on the first go after restarting delph
it outputs nice and clear without the dreaded blackspot.. grrrrr

so that would point to memory issue - i have memory page file set to
maximum 3048 MB - and shut all other apps..

hmmm dunno - primo maybe just cant handle it..?

cheers Fionn.

Please send the file to me via email(I'll pm you my address) and I can run some tests to see if it is related to delphi in any way.

OK, I am seeing a similar issue, but it's only with embedded office documents. I was able to get it to work eventually by removing the object and adding it back and then printing. I have noticed this happen with Adobe as well, so it is possible that it is an office issue, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
