Hi,
4.0 is great.
Now it omits the disturbing "Microsoft Word - " part from the filename (supposing I'm generating PDF from word). So far so good. :)

But it still can't fight accented characters in source filename.
(e.g.. try "uníversál.doc"!)

Unfortunately that is an issue between the unicode and the windows system files. You may want to try installing the appropriate language pack to see if that is able to resolve the issue for you.

Thanks for the fast reply.
Which language pack do you mean - where to download from?
Furthermore:
- I have Hungarian Windows and all other programs handle local characters.
- The issue is not a single case, the same relates other PC-s as well.

There is a link to purchase the additional language packs from microsoft. Below is also a link to their FAQ in regards to the language packs if that is helpful...

I have read the FAQ-s, but didn't find any further information which could relate to the problem.
There is no need and no use of such additional office language packs, to my understanding, if I have a Hungarian Windows and Hungarian Office, which is the case.
I'm afraid I don't see the solution yet.

PrimoPDF fully supports the Unicode inside the file, but the print drivers are unable to support them in the file name which is why the name is being changed. I was hoping that a language pack would resolve that issue for you.

I will submit this to our dev team as a bug to see if they can find a way to work around it, but in the mean time it will not be able to accurately convert accented file names (though accents inside the document should convert fine). You should be able to convert the document normally even with the accented file names, they will simply be renamed during the conversion.
