it would be a great advantage if PrimoPDF offered the ability to designate a default folder/path for new files. Clearly users would also need the ability to override the default or set a new one.

In our enterprise edition you have the ability to alter the default path through the config file.

But this feature is not available in the stand alone product? Any plans for that to occur?

In our latest version 4.0.1 there is a config file with some of the basic settings at the following location...
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\PrimoPDFSet.xml
You can try changing the path inside that file to see if it will maintain the path as a default setting for you.

I endorse the desire to have a default choice for a path to save the file. I'd also like to see a dialog box with a pick list of several paths. (See for example the list presented by the Firefox extension DownThemAll.) That list should include (1) a default path; (2) a secondary default path; (3) the path to the document being printed; (4) the last path used; and perhaps the last two or three paths. Whether some or all of those choices appear should be configurable by the administrator and user.
While you at it, twenty dollar bills and a drink should appear on my (real not virtual) desk each time I use PrimoPDF - espresso until say 2pm local time, pale ale thereafter. Even absent that feature, you've got an excellent program!

I have Window Vista Home Premium (32) Spanish version, and when the default path into PRIMO said "C:\Users\Mauricio\Desktop\MyPrimoPDF.pdf", I canīt find the file into "C:\Usuarios\Mauricio\Escritorio\MyPrimoPDF.pd". Anyway I canīt find any file like "MyPrimo.pdf" anywhere in the PC. I've the latest version and I can't find this "PrimoPDFSet.xml". Where is this in my OS?

This is probably related to the UAC in Vista. The simply solution is to disable the UAC...
