The output quality of images in the pdf could be better. Even with downsampling disabled the images are still pretty bad.

The best option for image quality would be the "Prepress" which will retain the original image as much as possible.

So I take it that your team is aware of image quality issue?

There are several different options which impact the image quality. So depending on exactly what you are after would determine which option would be best for you.

Using the prepress option will give you the best quality, as close to the original file quality as possible. However this does also create a large file and will take more time to process.
