I had viewed one PDF product where (upon printing to the pdf driver) instead of prompting you for a file name it would save the file (silently) where you previously designated in a settings page. Moreover, it would either use a "set file name" (also entered in settings) or use the printing application' s name. It would then either allow overwrite, append or (very important) sequentialed files (ie WinFaxViewer001.pdf, WinFaxViewer002.pdf) based on what files already existed in the specified output folder.
I, personally, would like to have this so that after my faxes are received (WinFaxPro), they would automatically be saved to a folder on the network (pre-specified) in PDF format rather than the fax file format (FXM or whatever it is). I can do this by "printing my faxes" after they are received, to the PDF printer. I just need the PDF printer to do its stuff :)
Adobe can print silently to a specified folder, but it will not rename files sequentially and will ONLY overwrite).
