Hi,
The programm works very good. The installation is very easy, no probs anyway.
But if i "print" a word file to pdf i got a blank pdf file.
What can i do? The OS is Windows XP. Before i found your program i´ve tested the ghostscript version, but i had the same problem.
The PDF Viewer is Acrobat Reader 6 and i´ve tested with Acrobat Reader 5.
Any ideas?
Greetings from Germany

Make sure you can print the document physically and you have an output.
The problem may lie in the character set you are using. Try changing the font.
Next you can try using a different PS driver by downloading and installing one of your choice and assigning the primoport.

I have had the problem with first installing PrimoPDF and then trying to use it on various files to print them to pdf. The result was always a blank pdf with a tiny file size. I found the problem but am not sure really where this problem is located in the installation or in the program components.
I am working on a German version of Windows 2000. The installation uses the default Program Files folder for installation (in German - Programme). I simply created the folder c:\Program Files and copied the entire ActivePDF directory to this directory (I have not deleted the original location yet to see if that makes it not work). I also had to update the printer for PrimoPDF and change the configuration to point to the files in the Program Files directory and not the Programme directory. Now I have everything working fine and all prints well.
I point this out because this will most likely give every person who uses a nonEnglish installation of Windows a problem.
Enjoy

Thank you very much for the footwork in finding a solution galt!
It seems that the default installshield install directory has the name improperly assigned. That or environment variables are not pointing in the correct directory. I'll look into the specific path error when I get a chance.

I'm having the same problem, getting blank .pdf files from MS Word 2000. I'm on a standard US-English Windows 98 SE system. I'm trying to make .pdf files from multiple images (scans of 8 1/2 X 11 pages) with no text at all, so the font question would seem not to apply. Putting the images into a .doc file, 1 to a page, seemed like the easiest way to do it. The very first .pdf I made this way worked just fine, but every following attempt has made a blank 1-page .pdf.

Also, as you advised to another user in another thread, I tried to send you my "Temp.ps" file using the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of these pages (webmaster [at] primopdf [dot] com). My email bounced with the following error message:
5.7.1 Unable to relay for webmaster@...
I didn't do anything that should have caused such a response, I used my normal provider (Verizon) via STMP Authentication.

Hi,
Same problem with blank PDF's on XP. I could follow as far as adding a folder and copying the ActivePDF... could you please specify what needs to be done after that? What do you mean by updating the printer and changing the configuration?
Many thanks,
eberbo

Thank you for your solution of the problem with blank page, i just follow your instruction to make a program files folder and after that get into regedit and change all program folder for primo to program files and after that its work!

ok, first copy the whole directory into C:\Program Files
Then go to the printer directory, and right-click on the PrimoPDF printer.
Now go to "Details" and "Set Port" (I'm referring to a win98 system, but on XP it should be quite the same).
Ok now a window should be open: in that, you have two paths relating to the original program path. Just edit them typing "program files" instead of "programs".
That should work :)
