OK, guys, I'm new at this. I'm using Quark 4 to create a color document, and want to make a color PDF. How do I? I tried the color pane; comes out B&W

You might want to check the primoPDF printer preferences under the Paper/Quality tab before you print, to see if it is set to Colour or Black & White.

I tried checking the preferences, and indeed they were set to black & white, so I changed them to color, but the new pdf is still black & white. The answer sounded so simple that I thought it HAD to work, but .....

I just downloaded PrimoPDF on Saturday, so if I sound a little ignorant on its proper use, there's a reason ... I like Quark for its flexibility (for novices like me) but few others have it so I need to convert to PDF before sending it.

Your post got me to thinking about OTHER setups within the Quark print box, and I discovered it wasn't set to Primo PDF in setup -- duh! -- why didn't I think of that first? It now works, and I now know why it works, so it's replicable. Thank You!
