I am working in Scribus where I have made a document in size A6. Since the first and last page (the cover) is filled with background color, the printer would like to have a pdf-document that shows the whole background color-plate, but where the A6-measures are marked somehow. How do I do this? I don't even think I can choose A6, but now I have read here about adding sizes so maybe I will try it. But will it not cut the extra background color anyway? (It would be so much easier to explain this in my own language, swedish!)

when you print to the primo pdf printer, click on preferences/advanced and select a6 paper size. that should give you a pdf with the same canvas size as the original document. if the original document and the paper size you choose to print to pdf to are identical dimensions, it shouldn't cut any off the original document off.

It's just that... I don't want the pdf to be the exact size of the document, but I want it to show the exact size. The cover background color has to be larger than both the document page and show in full size on the pdf-page. This is for the printing press, so that they can make sure that no white lines appear on for instance the binded back of the book. Do I have to do the cover in a separate file with another size on the pdf? My printer says it should be possible to have the whole background color in the pdf, although it shows A6-size.

I posted a reply here a while ago but it is gone now... Much spam in the forum... However - I want to be able to see the bleed and marks in the pdf. There must be a window where I can choose trimbox and bleed space. Where? How?
