AtomLeaf,
Reboot the computer (if you always leave it on that is).

If your computer is slow, it is possible you are trying to open the pdf before the PrimoPDF drive is finished writing (printing) the file.

If still happening:
Uninstall
Reinstall

For me the first file I tried was a success, but could not convert any files after that. After a bit of playing around I found that I COULD convert if I used the 40 bit encrytion, but not the 128 bit.

I also found that sometimes (using 40 bit) the first convert of a file didn't come out right but doing it a second time was fine.

So, for now I just use the 40 bit and always open the converted file in the reader and print a copy to be sure it looks right, before sending it to anyone.

To me this is a very small draw back for a free program, considering the $250 price tag on Acrobat. The author of this software had something good in mind and I hope that he eventually addresses some of these issues, but for now I am satisfied with it. I just hope he does not become discouraged and just quit, that would be a shame.
