For about a week now I've been trying to have PrimoPDF installed and working. It was recommended on a MS Publisher newsgroup.

The first one, verson 2 which is all I can find on the download site (webstie) wouldn't show on my printer. I found some tips on her about installing it with Win 98SE (WHY DOESN'T THE PRIMO WEBSITE SAY THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THIS?) and got it to work, but my printer software was wiped out. I had to uninstall Primo2, take out what I had done (to get it to show) and reinstall the printer software.

Then I read Verson 1 works with Win 98 and 98SE. But, who has version 1, where is it available for download? I tracked it down a few places, but it led back to the Primo homepage and version 2.

Someone finally gave me verson 1 (they knew about the problem with Win 98 and version 2 so had it saved)

Great- it downloaded and installed and showed (with my printer) and worked, till the last possible click (to create it as PRINT or SCREEN) and an error box PRIMO invalid Dll came up. What invalid dll? Where can I get it and make it valid?

I thought it might be my Windows files that were missing or corrupted, and have been looking for dll files to reinstall. Tracking it down (via google) I got this forum again, and reading others having the same problem. Invalid Dll.

What is the answer? What, exactly can I do to get this to work? I have WIN 98SE (in the process of getting a new cmputer with XP, but will still keep my old one in another room) and a download of PrimoPDF verson one.

Is there an answer to this? What's the point of it, if it's so difficult to get going, and use and so many problems with it?

From what I saw of it, when I had version 2 working (but not my printer) it looked good and worked good and I was excited about a way to save Publisher files as pdf.

I don't want to give up on it, but what and where are the answers?

Seems like the company would know about all this by now, and if they can't somehow fix it in the program, put up an instruction sheet telling how to install it. Or, at least warning people about version 2 not working with Win 98.

Thanks for listening,
Carrie
