The default pdf viewer does not launch. How can I change these settings so that the pdf is saved on my desktop?

These are actually 2 separate issues,
First in the Primo window click on options and there is an option to open the PDF automatically.
Second, if you want to set the destination to your desktop then when the primo window is open click the [...] button next to the save as: then click on desktop and the PDF will go to your desktop.
