After running the PrimoSetup.exe on a Win XP Pro machine both as a power user and as the administrator, no PrimoPDF printer appears.
This is true for my Win NT 4.0 SP6 machine also, however I have read that there is a problem with the port creation on the NT machines, so I await a resolution for that one.
Any suggestions?
There were no errors during the installation.

No answer to the Win NT install problem, or the Win XP install problem??
FWIW-- I believe the answer to the XP problem where the PrimoPDF printer fails to appear after installing as a user, then attempting to install as the administrator instead is to first uninstall as the user, reboot, then install as the administrator. (Or just install as the admin to begin with.)

I did installed it as a user with admin privileges first time around under XP Pro, and it didn't show. Don't know about NT.

Sorry for the late response...I must've overlooked this thread.
The NT issue is going to remain until I rewrite the installer.
However, XP works flawlessly in my experience. The one thing to make sure is that the primoport is created. If this port is created then the only reason why it might've failed is if your print spooler service was in use or disabled.
You can check the ports by going into printers and faxes and adding a printer. I recommend basing it off of the apple Laserwriter which should be one of the first in the apple selections. After you've chosen the printer driver to install you should see an option to assign a port to the printer which we are looking for the primoport. Do this and name the printer PrimoPDF and it should work for you.

That worked just fine. Thanks.
