I have installed PrimoPDF and have used it with no problems on different machines but on a particular machine I am having issues. I was able to install the software successfully with no problem. After I convert any file (for example, MS Word), I get an error message when opening the converted PDF file. This is the error message:
"Adobe Reader could not open 'Test.pdf' because is is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).'
This happens to any file I try to convert. I have installed version 2.0 uninstalled and installed 3.0 but still the same issue. Please help with this issue. Thanks.

I have experienced precisely the same error after installing version 3.0 over version 2.0. I have been runing version 2.0 successfully on Microsoft Vista. I downloaded the version 3.0 install excutable and ran it. I now get the error message "Adobe Reader could not open 'xxx.pdf' because is is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." for every file I create using PrimoPDF.
Can anyone help?

Hello. I get the same error message after installing on XP. Also in the doc properties there is 0 bytes.
Advice please.

The reason the files will not open is because they are zero bytes.
To stop PrimoPDF from creating zero length files you now need set the permissions on the ActivePDF directory.
I gave the users 'Full Control' and that solved it.

Uh, how do you do that? I usually can figure this part out, but I'm stumped. I have Vista 32-bit. I am getting 0 byte files with 3.0. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this question.
Thanks!

The solution was posted in another forum. Here is a shameless copy/paste:
[QUOTE=blazergst]I have windows Visa basic
This is what I did to get primoPDF working
1. Install the software
2. Go to C:\Program Files\
3. Right Click on "activePDF go to properties
4. Click on the security tab
5. Click Edit button
6. Check full control for each group/user
7. Click OK & OK
* I don't think this part is necessary, just make sure your destination folder has open control**
8. Make a new folder in C:\ I called mine PDFfiles
9. Right Click on your new folder C:\PDFfiles go to properties
10. Go to security tab
11. Click Edit
12. Again check full control for every user/group
13. Click Add
15. Click Advanced
16. Click Find now
17. Scroll down looking for "Everyone" and double click on it
18. Click OK
19. Now find Everyone in the list and check full control
20. Click OK & OK again
