Combining pdf files

I am a new user

So far, so good

PrimoPDF already has the ability to append new material to an existing pdf.

It would be useful to me if the program had the capability of combining pre-existing pdf's into a single large pdf.

Sometimes, chapters of a document download as individual pdfs. It would be nice to have the capability of combining the individual chapter files into a single large pdf

Tnx

You can do that by printing existing pdf from pdf reader program.

I tried this. I found that after 3-4 files the new files would not append. The screen comes up as if it is printing but the new material does not appear appended to the original file.

What would really be convenient is a drop down where I could add the files to be combined. Having the capability of changing the order of the files would also be nice

Generate PDF from multiple files under program control

I'd like to take this to the next level. I'm generating a series of documents under program (Visual Basic) control by opening/closing Excel and Word and printing as I go along. I desperately need the ability to open a single output PDF file at the start of the job and have all output go to that file until I programmatically close it. Is this within the realm of possibility? Does anyone know of any paid-for software that can do this?
